Knee Deep Farm began in 1977 as a one-woman operation. Artist Chris Remick works from the same small New Hampshire town by the sea where her ancestors first settled in 1623. While still basically an individual endeavor, help is provided by family, friends and anyone that can be recruited to lug furniture, art, or generally help out.

Over the years the retail operation expanded into wholesale lines and 3 day shows in large metropolitan areas. Deciding against small manufacturing, Knee Deep Farm has returned to its roots by offering only original works on a limited basis. While themes may be repeated, each work is one of a kind. No patterns or stencils are used. You are assured a hand-worked original when you buy from Knee Deep Farm.

Knee Deep Farm eventually evolved into a retail shop named Pocket Full of Rye. Hand painted furniture and smalls, country antiques, and a line of stationery with unique, humorous messages are now available through this site. Chris invites you to browse the her ever-changing inventory of fun and affordable products.
